No — and we won't do it. Shaving a double-coated breed like a husky removes the coat that actually insulates them from the heat AND protects against UV radiation. The right treatment is a thorough de-shed, not a shave.
It depends on the breed. Single-coated dogs (poodles, doodles, schnauzers) can go shorter for heat relief. Double-coated dogs need their undercoat removed, not the outer coat cut. We'll tell you exactly what makes sense for your dog.
